Limit the number of trials
Test no more than three compositions in one session. Use blotters first, then place the strongest two on separate wrists.
Do not rub the application point. Friction changes evaporation and makes the opening harder to read.
Record the middle and the drydown
The first ten minutes are only the entrance. Check again after one hour and after four, noting comfort, clarity and whether you still want to smell it.
A sample worn through an ordinary day is more useful than a dozen quick counter tests.
